T. Aaron Dobbs assists clients with estate planning, the uncontested administration of guardianship and probate matters, and probate and guardianship litigation.
Aaron started with the firm as a law clerk at the end of his first semester of law school and continued as a law clerk until being licensed to practice law in Texas. After practicing with the firm as an associate, Aaron left the firm to spend a few years in public service – first as a Legislative Counsel to the Texas Legislature and then as Assistant City Attorney for the City of Sugar Land. During his tenure with the Texas Legislature, Aaron was a member of the team of lawyers responsible for drafting the first installment of the new Estates Code, which will replace the Texas Probate Code on January 1, 2014. As Assistant City Attorney, Aaron focused on a wide range of legal matters and served as the lead counsel to the Planning and Zoning Commission.
Aaron has returned to Ford+Mathiason where he is combining his estate planning, probate, and guardianship knowledge with his experience representing clients before various courts, agencies, and governing bodies.
Aaron graduated from Texas A&M University with a degree in Journalism and Political Science in 2001, and he was a Legislative Aide to U.S. Senator Kay Bailey Hutchison in Washington, DC, before graduating from South Texas College of Law in 2005.
